This car is aimed at city dwellers (and - regardless of age and gender), in need of an expressive and practical "iron horse" for every day, and even at a relatively affordable price ...
A seriously updated version of Geely Atlas, which received the Pro prefix to the name, was first presented to the world community on June 25, 2019 - its official presentation took place at a special event in the Chinese city of Hangzhou under the “local name” Boyue Pro.
And I must say, the Chinese did not regret upgrading either funds or engineering resources, since the restyled crossover has really changed significantly compared to the original car - it "refreshed" externally, trying on a completely new front end, received a thoroughly redesigned interior decoration, "armed" with a three-cylinder turbo engine , developed in collaboration with Volvo, and acquired new options.
Outside, the Geely Atlas Pro demonstrates an attractive, expressive, modern and proportional look, but nevertheless, it is definitely not a “written beauty”. The frowning "physiognomy" of the car is decorated with small headlights with LED "eyeliners" of running lights, a relief hood, a stylish radiator grille with a "pentagonal" shape and a powerful bumper, and its tightened stern carries graceful two-section lights, a large trunk lid and a neat bumper with a pair curly "exhaust pipes.
On the side, the compact SUV is distinguished by a balanced and highly dynamic silhouette with a slightly sloping roof, visible "splashes" on the sidewalls, an intricate break in the sill line and large wheel arches, a certain "all-terrain" which is added by unpainted plastic along the lower edge of the body.
Size and weight
The Geely Atlas Pro is 4544 mm long, and its width and height fit into 1831 mm and 1713 mm, respectively. The center distance of the five-door is 2670 mm, and its ground clearance does not exceed 163 mm.
The curb weight of the car varies from 1640 to 1780 kg, depending on the version.
Interior
The interior decoration of the Chinese crossover is tailored in accordance with modern fashion trends - a stylish three-spoke multi-steering wheel with a "chubby" rim, flattened at the bottom, a fully digital instrument cluster with a 12.3-inch widescreen display and an expressive center console containing a media center touchscreen with a diagonal of 12.3 inches and control keys for secondary functions.
It should be noted that in simple versions the decoration is much simpler - an analog "toolkit" from the board computer display and a media system with an 8-inch screen (but also a touchscreen).
The Geely Atlas Pro has a five-seater salon. Inhabitants of the first row are given chairs with a fairly embossed profile, wide range of adjustments and heating.
In turn, a comfortable sofa with three headrests is installed in the rear, and passengers here are not only provided with a normal supply of free space, but also are not deprived of such amenities as their own ventilation deflectors, heating and USB connectors.
The trunk of the restyled Atlas is modest in volume - only 397 liters, and even has a significant loading height. The second row of seats folds in two unequal sections (2: 3), but in this case a completely flat floor is not obtained.

Specifications
In the Russian market for Geely Atlas Pro, only one gasoline engine is declared - this is an in-line three-cylinder unit with a turbocharger, distributed fuel injection, 12-valve timing and variable valve timing, the potential of which is 177 horsepower at 5500 rpm and 255 Nm of torque at 1500-4000 rpm.
As standard, the crossover is equipped with a 6-speed "mechanics" and drive wheels of the front axle, and as an option it can be equipped with a 7-band "robot" with a double multi-disc clutch operating in an oil bath.
In addition, an all-wheel drive transmission with a multi-plate clutch for connecting the rear wheels is also offered for the car, but in this case, only a 6-band hydromechanical "automatic" is installed.
It is worth noting that another engine is available in the Celestial Empire - a 1.8-liter "turbo four" (184 hp and 300 Nm), working in conjunction with a "robot" and front-wheel drive.
Design features
The restyled "Atlas" is based on the "front-wheel drive" architecture with a monocoque all-metal body, in the power structure of which high-strength grades of steel are widely used.
"In a circle" the car has independent spring suspensions with hydraulic telescopic shock absorbers and lateral stabilizers: in the front - a MacPherson type design, in the back - a multi-link system.
The crossover is equipped with a rack-and-pinion steering mechanism with an electric power steering. The car is equipped with a brake complex with disc brakes on all wheels (ventilated at the front), supplemented by ABS, EBD and BAS.
Options and prices
It is not yet known for certain when Geely Atlas Pro will reach the Russian market, as well as possible configurations with prices. However, it can be assumed that the car will rise in price, and they will ask for ≈1.4 million rubles for the basic configuration.
As for the equipment, which by default the crossover will receive: front airbags, a media center with a 7-inch screen, ERA-GLONASS system, ABS, EBD, BAS, air conditioning, ESP, standard audio system, heated front seats, power windows for all doors, 17- inch alloy wheels and other modern equipment.
